Valid Startup Parameters for the Notes Client

When starting the Notes client, you can pass the following startup parameters (command line) to the NOTES.EXE file.

Path to NOTES.INI


NOTES.EXE =C:\LOTUS\NOTES\DATA\NOTES.INI

(note the space after "NOTES.EXE")

Start the Administration client directly


NOTES.EXE ADMINONLY

Open a specific database when starting the client


NOTES.EXE NAMES.NSF
NOTES.EXE OPEN NAMES.NSF
NOTES.EXE SERVERNAME!!DATABASE.NSF

Specifying an .NDL (Notes DocLink) file

This can be used, for example, to open a specific document directly. For more information about the format of .NDL files, see the article: Format of .NDL files (Notes DocLink).

Open a specific URL when starting the client


NOTES.EXE https://www.madicon.de

Start the Notes client as an OLE server
